JP Morgan Chase appoints new chief data and analytics officer

New Hire WideJP Morgan Chase has appointed Teresa Heitsenrether as its new chief data and analytics officer. 

Heitsenrether, who has been with the bank since 1987, previously served as the global head of securities services.

In her new role, she will lead the adoption of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies across the bank's operations.

JP Morgan CEO Jamie Dimon said using AI to develop new products, enhance customer engagement, improve productivity and enhance risk management would be a "top priority".

Meanwhile, Tim Fitzgerald will replace Heitsenrether as the new global head of securities services.

Fitzgerald has been with JP Morgan for over seven years, most recently serving as the global head of custody and fund services.
