Revolut planning crypto exchange

Crypto exchangeDigital bank Revolut is reportedly preparing to expand its involvement with digital assets.

According to a job notice published on social media site LinkedIn, the firm is looking for someone to lead “a technical team to architect and build Revolut Crypto exchange”.

The individual must have more than seven years’ experience in the tech industry and working with matching engines specifically.

Revolut currently offers its customers the ability to trade up to 20 crypto-tokens, however the development of a crypto exchange would be a considerable ramping up of its involvement with digital assets.

It may also bring it into closer competition with fund and wealth managers looking to offer digital asset and crypto trading services to their clients.

The challenger bank is still to make a profit but following its latest $800 million funding round, the company is valued at more than $33 billion.

While an appointee for the new role has yet to be announced, the ad states that Revolut is “no longer accepting applications”.
