UK-based asset manager Artemis has selected Northern Trust to act as its single asset servicing provider.

The mandate will see Northern Trust provide middle office outsourcing and fund servicing.

An active manager with more than US$30 billion in assets under management, the deal will cover Artemis’s Luxembourg and UK-domiciled fund ranges.

Artemis chief operating officer Lesley Cairney stated that Northern Trust was appointed on the basis of its tech platform and the ability to support our evolving data and digital requirements as well as “the cultural alignment between the two firms”.

Asset servicers have, in recent years, extended their outsourcing offerings to cover more data-driven middle and front-office services in addition to the traditional back-office operational arrangements.
