Broadridge hires fintech veteran for front-office offering

HiredBroadridge Financial has hired former Bloomberg executive Ray Tierney to spearhead its front office technology offering.

Tierney has been appointed as president of Itiviti, the electronic trading platform which Broadridge acquired in a $2.5 billion (€2.09 billion) deal in May.

In his role, Tierney will be responsible for growing Broadridge’s front office order and execution management systems and connectivity products.

According to Broadridge chief executive Tim Gokey, the hiring is an important step in growing the company’s “capital markets franchise” and capitalising on the “significant opportunity to serve our clients’ full trade life cycle from order to settlement”.

Tierney was previously global CEO of trading solutions at Bloomberg and alaos CEO and president of Bloomberg Tradebook.

Rob Mackay, CEO of Itiviti since 2019, will assume a role of senior advisor.
